While I copy at the National Gallery of Art, I often speak with visitors. This picture was taken by Kitahata Yuuta from Japan. We had a fine conversation, and he sent me this record of our meeting.

Recreations

by Gerald King

Now I can offer copies of my most popular paintings at reasonable costs. These recreations are  not merely prints. They are made on artist's canvas which I paint into with finely ground  oil colors.  I use standard glazing, scumbling and alla prima painting techniques to give depth, textures, and more vibrant color to each copy. Each is carefully tailored to capture the richness, mood and feeling of the original. The final work is protected with a picture vanish and does not need to be under glass.

Some of my original paintings are too large for the average home. The copies or recreations are usually in smaller standard sizes. You may request a specific size not offered in my list of available copies.
