One day last year I was outside on my back porch when the sun was going down. Suddenly I noticed that the treetops which were winter bare seemed to be on fire. The sky in the north was dark with clouds. The backyards of Riverdale Park were in shadow. Only the treetops received the golden light.
Was this not the reward for a hard day of labor? Now in our senior years, my friend Gene and I had the time to reflect upon the beauty of life and phenomenon of nature.
