Jericho Bay Series

Jericho Bay is a place I made up. It is a fantasy world inspired by a childhood fascination with sailing ships, cluttered fishing wharfs and other nautical themes.  Growing up in Wisconsin, my first actual experiences with wharfs and sailing vessels came from sketching scenes along Lake Michigan. These experiences help expand my visual vocabulary and make possible the articulation of more believable and unique fantasies. As with any close analysis of a subject involving drawing from life, an artist's creative potential is greatly enhanced by direct artistic contact with a subject.
