1st day

2nd day On the second day,
the washes are set and cannot be easily removed. At this point I use
opaque white to cover lines and edges and to adjust values.
The enlarged image (click on image) shows how white has been used for this
purpose. At this point I have approximatly fine
or six hours into the work. |
3rd day On the third day I continued to sketch the figure with oil washes. I added some color to local areas. I also added a tonal wash in the negative area. I used titanium white as an opacifier to lighten some colors.

Here I added two columns to stabilize the composition and create more illusion of space. |
