               The Artist and Model Series

This series was started during 2007. At the age of 71, while painting a model posing for my weekly open drawing and painting session, I got an idea to include artists in my figure painting. The idea was so simple, I wondered why I hadn't thought of it before. Actually I had done a number of painting with this theme, but never with a focus on the reality of the situation. Now I can complete a lot of old studies that lacked meaning and were not consummate works of art. One of the new focuses will be on  the mood of the model.
